More Window Shopping

After making me a pancake breakfast, Aaron and I headed out to look at more baby stuff. We had several different stores to check out. First on the list was Precious Cargo, which is right down the street from us. Precious Cargo has really cute accessory type stuff and so many burp cloths and lovies that it is unbelievable! We didn't see any cribs there that we like, but once we know boy or girl, I will definitely be back for some of the cute extras.
Next on the list was a store called New Baby Products. The store itself was a little cramped and cluttered, but we found the most knowledgeable salespeople. One person spent forever talking with us about car seats and going over the pros and cons of infant v. convertible car seats. She also spent a lot of time talking to us about strollers and demonstrating how different ones operate. After going to a store like Babies R Us, it was refreshing to have someone know the products and be able to talk about them with firsthand experience. They also had some absolutely gorgeous Feltman and smocked baby outfits. So sweet!
Then, we headed to Bellini. At Bellini the thing that we fell in love with was their changing table setup. Their furniture was nice, but we have seen things that we like just as well for less money. Their changing table is an add on to one of their dressers and it is large. It would be plenty roomy for even a toddler to be changed there. We also had a salesperson who spent a lot of time talking to us about products and what we wanted. He completely sold us on a stroller that the store carries. The stroller is the Baby Jogger City Mini. When the guy told us it was the smartest stroller available, we were both thinking he was a bit pompous, but then he demonstrated why and we were hooked. You really just lift up on one strap on the seat of the stroller and it folds. It also has a piece on the side of the stroller that the Baby Jogger diaper bag (an accessory sold separately) fits onto so that you don't have to stuff a diaper bag into the basket or hang it off the handles. One of the best parts is that it is about half the price of the Bugaboo Bee or the Bob that Aaron fell in love with at New Baby Products.
Who would have thought that it would be such a relief to have one baby product decided? The only problem is that the City Mini is not sold in most stores. Babies R Us doesn't carry it and it seems like mostly bike shops and this Bellini store have it. Glad we searched it out!
Who knew that the baby would be so much entertainment and sweet pea isn't even born yet!
