Beachy Beachy!

Image
Our first day and we were eager to get out on the beach! The weather was great, aside from strong winds.  We have the hardest working kids on the beach! They set to work building and digging in the sand! These two are quite the team working together. They give quick orders and seem to have a shorthand with each other, but it works for them! They love to play in the waves! When Charlie found out we were going to a different area of beach than Okaloosa Island, he wanted to make sure there would be sugar sand and he was pleased to experience this soft, sugar sand!  Sarah Graves doesn't enjoy the ocean, but she loves to build sand castles! Aunt Nay was so kind and watched videos with her to get some tips on how to build sand castles. They put their new knowledge in place and built this cool castle wall with arches! Lovie and Pops were there watching all the action. Thanks to them for this beautiful place on the beach! Part of the fun of visiting a new beach area is trying new restauran

Beach Trip!

We kicked off our beach vacation with a quick road trip down to 30 A. The kids wasted no time exploring the house and trying out the private pool! Having enjoyed the pool, Charlie and I decided to check out the beach! The water was clear and the sand so soft! Nay and Livy made it down and we were ready to enjoy a vacation dinner.  Elmo's was the delicious place to spend our first night of vacation.

Kick Off to Summer

Our first weekend back at the lake was Memorial Day weekend. The kids were out of school and we were ready to enjoy the start of our summer.  The weather was quite cool for late May and so nice to be outside! We got archery and BB gun target practice up and going!  Everybody took turns working on their shot! Charlie and Livy worked on making a movie that featured a scene where they climbed up the rock wall. The bungee cord as a safety harness is still so cute! We played a fun game of dominoes. Charlie is a pretty good opponent! We organized some field games too! Three-legged race! Jeanne' proved to be a fierce opponent! The girls were pleased to have matching life jackets. Fun to get in the water and have a fun time enjoying all the lake toys! We took some time to remember those who gave their life for our country - the real reason for the holiday. It felt so good to finally get back to this place we love and have fun together!
