The Growing Caldwell Family

​ Sarah Graves and Chase had a fantastic time sleeping in a tent set up on the trampoline! They played games and hung out in it the next day! So much fun!

Cobb County spring break means a break in our crazy activity schedule! We enjoyed a weekend spending time together going to Six Flags and the zoo. Beautiful weather and such a good time together! We had a great time, even if it was a bit cool. We had a brief flashback to our pelting rain experience on Slinky Dog when it started to sprinkle on me and Charlie as we rose high on Acrophobia! Luckily, the rain was brief and the sun came out! Now that Charlie can ride everything at Six Flags, he is happy to try it all! Our little birds are growing up! We learned that the pandas at the zoo may have to return in China in a few years and China may not renew the contract for the zoo to keep the program.  The real reason the kids like going to the zoo is the ropes course! This weekend was good for all of us and we thoroughly enjoyed the time together, instead of splitting up in different directions!  

The Cadettes decided to earn the Night Owl badge, which involved doing activities after dark! They started outside learning about animals that come out after dark and people who work at night.  Then, they transitioned to a night time party that included pizza, cupcakes, and a glow in the dark Easter egg hunt! Fun craft making a twinkle light holder.  These girls have a good time together and really enjoyed this fun night of activities!  

  Charlie had a wonderful flag football season playing with Football In America, a program from Drew Brees.  We knew it would be good when we found out his team was the Tigers and their colors were purple and gold! He played a lot of defense, made interceptions, and scored touchdowns. He played offense too and did some good work protecting the QB and scoring.  Their team went undefeated in the regular season and lost in tournament play. 

 Charlie and Aaron were given tickets to a Hawks game and they had a great time! It was their first NBA game and they really enjoyed the activities to get fans engaged. 

Confirmation weekend was a busy one! It was opening weekend for Smyrna Little League and our Saturday had an early start with the parade! Charlie's team is the Diamondbacks and he has a couple of buddies from school on his team and their dads are really nice coaches! So much fun to be cheered on by your community! After the parade, we headed to a big breakfast! How lucky are we to have all our parents together! After breakfast, we kept moving and did some bowling with Aaron's family Finally, it was time for Charlie's first baseball game! His team lost, but Charlie got on base and was able to score a run making it a great game for him! Fun to watch this guy do something he enjoys!
