Goodbye, Summer!

Image
We bid a final farewell to summer enjoying more fun at the lake! The weather was perfect for boat riding. A little cooler than I would have liked for swimming, but definitely fun to ride the raft, boogie board, and wakeboard! We had the lake mostly to ourselves, too! Friday night, Charlie decided he enjoys puzzles! He stayed up late and was up early the next morning wanting to work on it. He said he slept a few hours and was back at it! He might have been right about that. They have both gotten very good at the boogie board! So good that Movie convinced them they needed to work on the wakeboard. They each managed to get up on the wakeboard and Charlie was quite proud of that! We also had a fire and roasted marshmallows. Some of us ate ours and some of seemed to smear it on!  Summer was a lot of fun and now we are eager to move on to fall!

School Friends

Image
This school year has brought changes in friends and I am grateful for Sienna who reaches out to Sarah Graves and keeps their circle connected.

Cuddle Time

Image
Had a sweet cuddle with the kids. They were piled in the chair with me enjoying a sweet time. I want to treasure all the cuddles I have with them since I know it won't be long and sitting in my lap will be a memory.

Chapel Gang

Image
Lovie tries to make it to chapel each week and the ids love having her come! Sarah Graves waits for her anxiously and always sits with Lovie. Charlie often sits with his class, but will give a wave and a smile! On this chapel day, he chose to sit with them and they all look so happy!

Spanish Star

Image
Charlie loves Spanish with Ms. Marta and was very proud to be the star student!

New Hairdo

Image
Charlie has been quite tickled to style and fix his hair each morning! He wets it down, combs, and puts a little gel in it! He feels very handsome and I think he looks handsome too!

Girl Scout Field Trip

Image
We had a fun time on a Girl Scout field trip to a history museum! The girls learned about famous women from Georgia who have made a significant contribution to our world, including Juliet Gordon Lowe! She visited family near the museum while she was growing up. The girls did crafts to learn about the era when Juliet Gordon Lowe was alive. They made fans, sewed a book to hold recipe cards, and played a game like Head Bands that would have been popular during that time! The girls had a good time learning and hanging out with each other! The car ride was fun too listening to each other's favorite songs, talking about VSCO girls, and general 9 year old silliness!

Sleepover Fun

Image
One of the things the kids can earn points for is having a sleepover with a friend. Sarah Graves was excited to invite her friend Lilly over!  Sarah Graves was not going to be able to make it to Lilly's birthday party, so they baked a cake to celebrate Lilly early! Sg and Lillu had a fun time and very sweetly included Charlie in their fun! So nice to have kind
