SG at Camp Chattooga

Sarah Graves planned her summer to the fullest! With her week with friends over, it was time for Sarah Graves to head off to camp!  We stopped off for lunch to make sure she started the week off well! Eager to get to her cabin, she paused for a quick pic! We barely get a goodbye, she is so eager to get with the counselors and girls! She had a fun time, met new girls, and enjoyed some of the camp traditions she loves!

Camp Chickamaw!

In its fourth year Camp Chickamaw is still going strong! Still a lot of water sports with activities like bingo (for money); watching America's Got Talent; tie dyeing t shirts; and painting rocks mixed in! SG has officially joined the wakeboarding ranks! Charlie has seriously advanced his skills on the wakeboard! He still doesn't care to try the skis. A friend loaned them a water trampoline and the kids put it to fun use! This camp lets parents visit and join in the fun!  Pops created a scavenger hunt for them to solve clues and find treasure! The treasure was silver coins from a sunken ship that he and Lovie learned about in Miami! Pops making homemade pizza! He grills it on the Traeger and it is delicious! Glad they all had a good time together and made memories with Lovie and Pops! What a way to wrap up summer!

SG at Camp Chatooga

Aside from the packing, SG loves everything about going to camp! This was her third year going to Camp Chatooga for Girls, part of Athens Y Camp.  She was so eager to be there that I had to call her back to say goodbye and let me get a pic! She had a great time! This was her first year heading off not having a friend in her cabin and she still loved it! I don't know if these are life long friends, but for the week they are great friends!

Charlie at Strong Rock

Just before camp Charlie got cold feet and did not want to go. We talked about it; he shed some tears; and we remembered all the things that are fun about camp. The day it was time to head to camp, he was fine.  Camp bound! Firehouse subs so he is filed up before drop off! He was so eager for drop off that he almost didn't say goodbye! Sis pulled him in for a hug and a pic. He loves wiffle ball! Overnight camp out with his cabin working on model rocketry Canteen time! Ready for battle against Awahila tribe The final verdict was that camp activities were fun; he really enjoys gaga ball; playing wiffle ball was great; and model rocketry continues to be a lot of fun! His cabin mates were very rowdy and disrespectful making it overall not a great time. I think he is okay to try a different camp experience next summer.
