Girl Time

Image
While Aaron and Charlie were slogging it out camping in the rain, Sissy and I enjoyed time together shopping and watching movies.  We spent hours strolling the mall looking at lipglosses, scented body washes, earrings, and all sorts of fun girly things. We enjoyed taking our time and not having a brother dying to be finished! In those moments, I have a glimpse of the friendship I hope we will have.

Camp Out

Image
Charlie and Aaron headed out for a Cub Scout campout! They were really excited to finally be able to do a campout again, but their enthusiasm was dampened by the predicted heavy rains!  When it was time to head out, Charlie decided he didn't want to go camping and only wanted to stay home and play video games. It was rough going getting him ready to go and Aaron was feeling hurt and a little regretful about going camping in the rain.  The predictions were right and the rains were really heavy! They still had fun taking advantage of every break in the rain to build a campfire, make s'mores, do archery, shoot a BB gun, and a slingshot. The best part is they had a fun time together and remembered how much they enjoy camping.  Here's hoping their next one is drier and even more fun!

All Smiles

Image
This guy pulled his own tooth! He wiggled it and wiggled it and after we had gone to bed, he pulled it himself! He hit his lip while playing football at recess. Nurse Cheryl told him it was a good thing the tooth had come out because it would have been hit when he fell! Love this handsome smile! He has felt self-conscious about his front teeth. So often he won't show his teeth in a smile. I assured him that he will grow into those adult teeth.  Sarah Graves and Aaron wanted to get in on the big smile action too!

Spring Fever

Image
We caught spring fever! Well, actually the entire school did. The administration planned a super-fun week of different outfits to make it a little more fun! The schedule was a little different for each age group so that they still wore their regular chapel uniform. Sissy had "decades day" and chose the 50's.  Charlie had wacky socks day and was excited to wear orange socks. She was so cute in her poodle skirt! Charlie had Disney day! Those Mickey ears from Aunt Lexie and Uncle Tim have seen a lot of wear! Sissy was sporting her wacky socks - mismatched softball socks.  Who doesn't love pajama day! Thanks to the Easter Bunny for bringing these cute new ones in their Easter baskets.
