Fun Day!

Image
With summer coming to a close, we had a fun day going to Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor! The kids each chose a friend to bring and it turned out really fun! Sarah Graves chose Caroline, a friend she hadnt seen in ages! Charlie chose Harrison who hadn't been before.  I was most excited that Charlie and Sarah Graves rode my favorite, Goliath!

Charlie Only Kid

While Sarah Graves was off on her adventure, Charlie was happy to enjoy a week as an only kid. These two really enjoy Golden Corral, so it was a perfect time to go! These two had so much fun together! Time to play in the park with his buddies! He chose to bake a red velvet cake on his own and Livy was happy to be his assistant! He really wanted a trip to White Water and enjoyed choosing what we rode. He was very proud to do the obstacle course both ways!

Yellowstone Adventures

As a special gift for turning 12, Sarah Graves got to pick a trip for Lovie and Pops to take her on. She chose Yellowstone and Jackson, Wyoming. They have been talking and planning this trip for well over a year and it was much anticipated! What a fun adventure to set off on together! They had so many fun things planned! They went to the rodeo! A chuck wagon dinner show. A bike tour around lake Jenny with beautiful views of the Tetons! So many gorgeous views! Sarah Graves is modeling the hat designed for Beth Dutton on Yellowstone. A giant cinnamon roll! Horseback riding and more beautiful mountain views. I was quite proud of these matching shirts I made them! They had a driver tour them through Yellowstone and take them to see the geisers. Turns out Old Faithful isnt so punctual! Their flight home turned into quite the adventure routing them through Minnesota and taking 2 extra days to get a flight home and their luggage was not with them. Turns out you can have fun shopping at an imp

New Room

For Sarah Graves/ 10th birthday we did her room and held the same promise for Charlie on his 10th birthday. It was a little early, but with him away at camp, it seemed like the right time to get in his room and give it a makeover.  Sis was eager to help paint! Charlie got to help choose the paint color and High Speed Access grey seemed like a great choice for a tech loving guy! After a decade of bibbidi bobbidi blue, he was eager for a change! He decided he wanted a baseball theme and there was a lot to choose from! He saw this Braves bedding and was in love with it!A big part of the change in his room was removing the top bunk and putting the bed in front of the window.  This mural of Truist Park helped to incorporate more of the baseball theme.  Having a bedside table was one of Charlie's requests for his room redo. An easy one! I gave the bedside table and desk a fresh coat of paint to match his bed. The real fun was putting together this gallery wall. I loved incorporating some

Strong Rock Round 2

Charlie was very eager to get back to camp! So eager that after we took this photo at drop off, he walked away and never said goodbye! I'm glad he doesn't worry about being away from us, but I wish he at least wanted to give us a hug and say goodbye! One of his favorite things to do is play ga ga ball! He loves it and is pretty good at it, but sometimes that brings out a competitive spirit! Last year he was nervous to use the money he had on credit at the camp store, but this year he treated himself to a "Waya" hat for his tribe.  Wiffle ball was a new activity camp added this year and he was very excited to choose it! The tribes do a lot of competitions all with the goal to be the one to have the most points at the end of camp! This competition is right up Charlie's alley! Looking fierce! More ga ga ball. He loves wiffle ball.  Waya won this session!  Looking forward to more camp next year!
