Tooth Fairy

Charlie has lost several teeth this summer and he was quite pleased to hang on to one long enough to leave it out for the tooth fairy. She always leaves him the money, even when he literally loses the tooth! Most recently, he dropped it down the sink!

Family Fun for the 4th

We had a fun and relaxing 4th of July at the lake with Aunt, Uncle Tim, their kids and grandkids and Maw Maw. The kids had lots of cousins to enjoy and it was so nice to have time to really catch up with everyone.  This group liked to raft and it was fun to bump and bounce with 2 rafts! Sarah Graves was bummed about not getting in the water, but she cheered up when Lovie and Pops helped her waterproof her finger with a rubber glove secured with duck tape!  Lots of fun to paddle around in the kayak.  Oh how tasty went Aunt Tammy brings brownies out to the dock! The jet ski was a big hit! A boatload of kids! Paddling a kayak by yourself is pretty fun.  Charlie and Wyatt really hit it off and had a great time together! Lucy soaked up lots of belly rubs! Sweet Macy was very fond of her.  The fire pit was a nice gathering spot to catch up with everyone.  Charlie was very proud to build a fire and "cook" hot dogs for lunch! Hanging out watching youtube videos together.  We had a lo

Although the doctor would lift the flap of skin and move it back and forth, which really grossed me out. Sarah Graves was distracted by the Child Life Specialist talking to her, so she wasn't bothered Stitches were an option, but Sarah Graves was very worried about that, so they opted to glue it closed and use steri strips to hold it on. The doctor was concerned the flap of skin would eventually fall off. Yikes! A popsicle helped her over the disappointment hearing she couldn't get in the water for 10 days! July 4th at the lake didn't sound so good if she couldn't get wet! They were so qu

Home Again!

It was so good to have the kids home! SG was excited to receive her rewards from cookie sales! In lieu of an end of the year party, they did a drive through event and gave out yummy cupcakes! Charlie was so happy to spend time with daddy! They made homemade pancakes with fresh blueberries from our bush. Not the blueberry pie Charlie hoped for, but tasty! They were thrilled to check out the trampoline! They love putting the sprinkler underneath and making it into a water feature! Our hydrangeas have had beautiful blooms this summer!
