Li'l Swimmer

Image
Sarah Graves has been very excited to learn to swim and her hard work is showing!  She recently completed level 1 in her swim program!  She is very excited to start work on level 2!  It is a lot of fun to see her excited about learning to do something that I enjoy so much!

Ballet Rehearsal

Image
Sarah Graves' ballet recital is coming upend we had her dress rehearsal.  It was too much cuteness!  Sarah Graves and her friend London.  They have been in the same class for the past two years. A sailor salute. This buddy was as sweet and well behaved as he could be!

Sick Buddy!

Image
Saturday morning at the beach, Charlie woke up not feeling well and we suspected he was running a little fever.  Soon it became very clear that he felt terrible and only wanted to sleep and be held.  He is entitled to that, so Aaron stayed in with him while I went out to the beach with SG and we switched up that afternoon and evening.  Eventually, I sent Aaron to get a thermometer and some baby Advil.  We discovered that his fever was over 103.   Poor buddy felt a little better when he took some Advil and eventually ate a little.  When I brought him in to the pediatrician we found out he had strep and an ear infection.  It took a couple of days for the fever to subside, but a round of antibiotics and he is back to his usual self!

Sandy Smiles

Image
We didn't make it out to the beach for group pictures, but we snapped a few on the balcony with the water as our backdrop.   We are so grateful to have time to be with Grancy and Gramma!  The kids really enjoyed being with them.

Sandy Fun!

SG had another fun day on the beach!  She loved building sand castles with Gramma and Grancy!

Beach Day!

Image
The weather was perfect for sitting on the beach and playing in the sand.  It was too cool and too windy to be in the water for my taste.  The kids however thought different and had a ball! There was also plenty of time for a snooze!

Playdate With A Friend!

Image
Sarah Graves became friends with Mia when they were both small and Lovie kept them.  Last year, Mia's family moved e finally had a chance to get together to play.  Playing at the beach was fun and they easily picked up playing together again.

Beach Trip!

Image
Last week we took a short trip to the beach and Grancy and Gramma were able to join us!  Sarah Graves was quite excited to be with them and being at the beach made it even better!  The cool spring that we have had made the beach a little cool too.  Our first day was very windy and cold, so we stayed in most of the day.  Fortunately, the weather improved as we went! Sarah Graves is addicted to watching YouTube videos on her iPad and was very excited to have technology time with Grancy and Gramma. Charlie decided to try out his sunglasses some!  He looks like a cool dude to me! Charlie was insistent that he wanted his lunch outside!  He loved the balcony and the freedom of going out there when he chose.  Sissy was showing me a model pose!

Frozen Party

Image
As the Frozen obsession continues,1 the kids were delighted to go to our friend Allison's Frozen birthday party! Sarah Graves decided to dress as Anna for the party and was so excited to be in costume! Charlie enjoyed being with the other kids and LOVED the marshmallow station for making snowmen. SG and Greg are always excited to see each other. SG and the birthday girl, Allie.

Time for Tea

Image
Aunt Nay and Sarah Graves had a lot of fun playing tea party. Jeanne' and I were given this tea set by my Uncle Steve when he was in the Navy.  It is really sweet to think that he picked out this tea set and sent it to us while he was deployed on the Enterprise.  Sarah Graves is certainly impressed with it!

Mother's Day!

Image
We had a laid back Mother's Day.  We did our big celebration the Saturday before when Mom and Dad brought steaks and Aaron and I cooked dinner. Sarah Graves made this darling flower shaped frame at school and was bursting with excitement to give it to me!  She wanted to share it as soon as she made it, but managed to keep it a surprise until that night! Charlie was his usual sweet, fun self! Such a fun time with Lovie and Pops playing with them.   So lucky that they get to spend time together.   Everybody is smiling! We enjoyed being together and that was a wonderful gift in itself.

Springtime Festivals

Image
We love going to festivals.  This spring hasn't had the best weather, so we jumped at the opportunity to go to the spring Jonquil Festival.  It is close to us and has a lot of community involvement.  We had a fabulous time enjoying the weather and being together. He looks an angel sleeping! He slept for nearly three hours in the stroller. Sissy saw face painting and had to have it.  She asked for something princess and the lady set about making a tiara!  It was perfect for SG! She loves getting to the kid area and doing the rides. Charlie woke up just as we were enjoying the kid area - good timing! Funny boy!  And a funny daddy!

Little Gymnasts

Image
Recently we signed SG up for dance at The Little Gym.  The class gives a combination of tap, ballet, and gym time, which I think will suit her well.  That is for the fall though.  As part of sign up, they had an evening with open gym time for the kids to check it out.   Charlie thought it was super fun!   Sissy spent the evening working on the bar.  She was able to flip herself over! Charlie loved the freedom of running around! This funny boy! The fall will be a big change for us as SG will go to dance while Charlie goes to Music Together.  Part of me feels sad that we won't be at music as a family, but she has done all 9 sessions of it and I think she is ready to move on.
