Game Time

Image
We had a fun night playing Disney themed Family Feud! Pops was the host and we had a lot of laughs over some of the guesses! Mickey Mouse was a Muppet? Lots of laughs and good fun with family.

Rollercoasters

Image
Mom and I spent a glorious time at Six Flags on opening weekend. Aaron and the kids were building pinewood derby cars and we had several hours to ride rollercoasters together! So much fun on a beautiful day! Such a great time together! Beautiful weather doing one of my favorite things!

First Softball Game

Image
Sarah Graves was very excited for her first softball game! It was a double-header and she couldn't wait! She is playing outfielder. Playing right field is her preferred spot right now.  Aaron and Charlie are some of her biggest fans, along with Lovie, Pops, and Maw Maw! She didn't get a hit this game, but she had a careful eye and made some good swings. Her team won both games and as she put it, "It's more fun when you win!"

Family Skate

We had a fun time going roller skating!  It was fun to get out and do something together! I was impressed that we were all on skates with no injuries!

Grancy Came!

We had a great visit with Grancy! They made the most of a half day of school and went bowling in the afternoon! They helped Grancy record a read aloud for cousin Hunter's class. Grancy had the chance to see them in action in their games. Charlie loves to be the QB! Grancy was there to see Sarah Graves score her first goal and get the sportsmanship award!  We couldn't have a visit with Grancy and not bake a chocolate pie! That pie was so yummy! We all enjoyed seeing Grancy!

Heck Yeah!

At the start of quarantine nearly a year ago, can that really be?- we found ourselves with a lot of free time in the evenings and wanted something we could watch together. We started watching The Middle from season one. The kids fell in love with the Heck family! Aaron and I enjoyed the series when it ran initially, so this was something we all looked forward to.  We started watching it on Amazon Prime and during the summer they pulled it. So, we bought Charlie the DVDs as part of his birthday and he was thrilled! We finally finished the ninth season and are all sad we don't have our evening joy seeing what Mike, Frankie, Axle, Sue, and Brick are up to. The kids are ready to start it over. They talk about the Hecks regularly and you would think they are our neighbors!  This is definitely one of our good memories of 2020!

The Bomb!

Sarah Graves has been intrigued to try hot chocolate bombs, so I grabbed some from Costco. She chose the salted caramel flavor and was pleased with it. She said the marshmallows tasted like caramel!

Game Night

Image
We had a fun game night! We played the marble game with Maw Maw and she beat all of us! Charlie kept rolling 6's and Sarah Graves couldn't take a marble out, so she was fuming! It is probably a good thing that SG did not want to play Yahtzee. Charlie's good luck picked up and he was elated to roll a yahtzee! He took game by a landslide and was so tickled! He was talking about it the next day and reliving his yahtzee!
