A Girl and Her Dog

Image
Sarah Graves loves Lucy. She takes care of her and shows her so much attention. I fully believe that it is this care and attention that keeps Lucy doing so well at almost 14 years old.

Outdoor Fun

Image
We spent the rest of the weekend enjoying outdoor toys the kids received for Christmas! Slingshot anyone? archery Charlie was showing Lovie the BB gun. Sis likes the BB gun too! Livy received new skates and was kind to let Sis try them out! Lots of outdoor fun and time together! What a way to kick off the new year.

Ringing in 2021

One good thing about having traditions where you stay home with family for holidays is that social distancing doesn't change your plans!   Feeling pretty wearing an outfit that was a gift from Charlie.  Loving some slime gloop play! Fun for this guy too! Italian themed dinner! The crackers were a fun addition! Sporting the crowns that came in the cracker snaps! Time for fun and cuddles.  A scavenger hunt sent the kids all around the house. They ended up with a can of silly string. We played a candy bar swap game! Who doesn't love to unwrap a candy bar? Then, we were on to the Saran Wrap ball! This year it was filled with scratch off tickets! Here's to 2021! While we had much to be grateful for in 2020, we are looking forward to what the new year may bring! Grateful for this crew to celebrate with!

Elf

We had a bit of a late start on enjoying Christmas traditions, so we used all twelve days of Christmas to fully celebrate our favorite Christmas things!  One of those favorites is watching Christmas movies like Elf !

Holiday in the Park

We made the most of our long holiday weekend! After spending the day after Christmas playing and enjoying new things, we decided to head to Holiday in the Park at Six Flags! This is one of my favorite traditions and even the changes for COVID did not take away the fun! Charlie was able to ride Batman for the first time! Thanks to his fluffy hats, he made the height requirement! Harley Quinn is still a favorite and our car was spinny! She loves the swings! She isn't sure about rides that go way high or upside down anymore, but swinging is still a favorite! I love the nativity scene they set up! Looking at the lights and hearing the Christmas music everywhere make me so happy! So glad we were able to make it this year! So many things going on, but I love being there!

Brrrr!

The weather was so cold out, but they were super excited to play with the BB gun and ride their new scooters! Out they wen t all bundled up!

Christmas Day

Image
Headed to Lovie and Pops' and bundled up because it was COLD! We started off with a birthday celebration for Livy! Poor kiddo had to cancel her birthday party because of COVID and she was such a good sport about it.  She loves Barbie and was excited to have a beautiful cake! Barbie toys! Trying out her new roller skates! Then, we moved on to opening Christmas gifts! New scooters for each grandkid! They nearly froze riding them outside! A portable Barbie closet! New Barbie clothes! Gross science experiments! New princess jewelry Mad Matr and tools to play with it! We finished off the day with Mom's delicious beef tenderloin for dinner! Always a treat! So nice to be together and we even had a chance to see Mom's friend, Ms. Janan. Such a good Christmas! Time together, yummy food, and thoughtful gifts!
