Bikes and Butterflies

Image
We woke up to more beautiful weather perfect for riding bikes and exploring the gardens! Riding bikes was both fun and challenging! I hadn't ridden in a long time and forgot how challenging hills can be! Charlie and I had a little crash resulting in me skinning my knee (flashback to being 9 years old!) and he bawled and bawled over the fact that I was hurt because of him. Lunch and a frozen lemonade got us back on the right track for more fun! The butterfly conservation area was my favorite! So many pretty colors and beautiful tropical plants.  It was a great day to be outside and enjoying fall! I think we would like to go back again sometime!

Ziplining and Pumpkins

We had a lot going on the weekend of fall break, so we did the best we could to work in a getaway to Callaway Gardens to zipline, visit pumpkin fest, and do some bike riding! The weather was beautiful and staying overnight made it feel like we were on a vacation! Getting the harness hooked up was so tricky! Sarah Graves was ahead of me and she was so kind to help me out! Charlie was a whiz at it and sped through!  Ziplining over the water was by far my favorite part! I would do that part again for sure!  The ropes course was hard work and the ziplining was awesome! We had a great time doing it together! Next up was Pumpkin Fest! The corn maze was festive with lights and music! Charlie found it difficult to navigate with so many people and some darkness, but we had a good time bopping along to the music.  The pumpkin trail was so cool!  The lights and music were awesome! It reminded me of Holiday in the Park at Six Flags! These frogs were neat! I wanted to take a picture of everything
