Valentine's Movie Night

Image
We decided that we would treat ourselves to popcorn and candy while we lounged at a Spiderman movie for Valentine's Day! Such a nice break from our fast paced days! So grateful for these people who love many of the things I do!

Sweethearts

We had a good time celebrating all the love we have for each other.  These two are the biggest loves! We took time to get some nice pics of everyone.  I had fun decorating the table to make our brunch feel special.  A valentine and some chocolates for each and the kids had a few extra treats! We had a yummy spread! I made strata, grits, and different kinds of muffins. Mom brought a variety of fruit and Jeanne' made some delicious pastries! Had to get an up close shot of these cute pastries in cherry and nutella flavors with their cute heart designs!

Valentine's Prep

The kids were excited to decorate boxes for collecting valentines at school. Charlie fashioned a double decker option that could hold more candy and trinkets! He envisioned it to look like a bakery box. When Charlie has a vision in mind, he has a hard time letting go or accepting any alterations to it. Sis fashioned hers to look like her favorite animal, an elephant. I thought her use of doilies for ears was a cute idea!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a low key Valentine's Day at home. We planned a pancake dinner and I picked up a movie the kids were anxious to see.  I enjoy making valentines for them and was particularly proud of how Sarah Graves' turned out! She gave me the idea for it, but it worked better than I expected.  These tulips were a beautiful treat! The kids could wear valentine themed shirts for school. It was a last minute announcement and a scramble to find them, but we did! Our pancakes were heart shaped! The kids were really excited to use the mold and proud to do them on their own! Pancakes and bacon, what's not to love? Aaron frequently talks about jam thumbprint cookies, so as a special surprise we made him some! The kids were very excited to give them and they were tasty! Lots of love shared right here!

Funny Valentine

Valentine's day was very low key at our house.  SG made valentines for her teachers and friends at school, Aaron and I had a few little incidentals for her and Charlie to celebrate, and she and I baked cupcakes.  We didn't even attempt taking the kids for a dinner out on such a big day.  She loved going through all the valentines she received.  She received them from friends at school and her grandparents.  Her favorite of all might have been the big sucker that Momma and Daddy picked out for her!

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is Sarah Graves' valentine that we gave out to a few friends.  I got the idea for it from Pinterest.  It was a little challenging to get her to pose with her fist in the air, but it looks pretty cute all put together!  Here's a regular picture of my funny valentine!

Valentine's Wish from Grancy

Grancy made a video for Sarah Graves to wish her a Happy Valentine's day!  You can watch it here .  It's fun to see all the pictures put together, and amazing to realize that they were all taken in just about a year!
