Stylish Dude

Image
Charlie was due for a haircut and decided it was time for a new style - the Joe Burrow haircut! He brought pictures to show Tony, the barber, what he wanted.  He was super-excited with the result! Styling it perfectly has taken some work and he has shed a few tears of frustration trying to get it to go back like Joe Burrow's, but he is getting the hang of it!

His First Haircut

Image
Charlie's hair was getting a little long on top and over his ears, so we decided it was time for his first haircut.  We went to Crewcuts and Pigtails where the focus is on kids' haircuts.  When we went in, there was a kid screaming at the top of his lungs as his hair was being cut, so I worried about how Charlie would do.  He did not want to sit in the cute chair, but he did fabulous in my arms.   j We did keep all his sweet curls in the back, but he has sweet boy hair on top now.

Haircut

It had been quite a while since SG last had a haircut, so I decided her hair could use some neatening up.  She was so excited about it!  The ladies all fawned over her and she felt so good about herself.  She was even proud to let me take her picture after!

Bows, Bows, Bows!

I have been meaning to make a bow holder for Sarah Graves for a while now and this weekend I finally got around to doing it.  I wanted her to have something with both of her initials and we had a very narrow wall to put it on, so I decided that making one would be the way to go.  I bought the wooden letters and a small canvas, painted them all, glued on the ribbons, and there you have our bow holder.  I wish that I could paint better, but I just don't have that talent.   I didn't realize how many bows she has until I started putting them up!  She has some cute new ones that I should take a picture of up close.

Pippy

SG's hair continues to grow longer and seems to want to grow toward her face.  This drives me nuts!  The solution has been to use barettes and bows to keep it out of her face.  This was Lovie's attempt to fix her hair recently.  We called her Pippy that night.  SG loves having her hair fixed.  She loves it so much that she rips the bow out just so we can do it again.  It's a fun game we play.

First Haircut

Image
After much debate we decided to take Sarah Graves for her first haircut.  The debate was over when a baby girl should have her first haircut and we finally decided that the baby mullet was more than we could handle!  I took her to an adult hair salon to see Ms. Lisa who also cuts kids' hair.  Ms. Lisa oohed and aaahed over Sarah Graves and knew just how to work with a baby girl.  Sarah Graves did great and seemed to enjoy all the attention.  I held her on my lap, Mom entertained her with Sophie, and Daddy was paparazzi.  He took some great pictures of her.  Here is her before photo.  She was so good and easy going.  She didn't mind having someone fiddle with her hair at all.  I was proud of her for being such a sweet girl.  Here is her after photo.  Ms. Lisa didn't take off much length.  The baby mullet is gone in the back and the sides that were growing uneven are now fixed.  She also gave Sarah Graves a few wispy ba...

Wild Woman

Well, at least the hair is quite wild!  Her cowlick in the back makes it stand up like that and no comb or brush will make it lay down.  It's her punk rocker do!
