Mother's Day Weekend

Image
We started Mother's Day weekend off going to watch Olivia play baseball! Charlie gave me a beautiful bouquet that he picked out! This was also when the Northern Lights were on display throughout much of the South so we made a late night ride to Wedowee in hopes of seeing them. I don't think we could see them, but we did have beautiful views of the night sky.  Olivia very sweetly picked out an Owala bottle for me since I didn't have one. So thoughtful! Sissy picked out a beautiful towel for me while she was visiting Mount Vernon and she painted a card for me.  Sissy also made this frame for Lovie using a laser cutting machine at school. The frame lists all the places they visited while in Jackson Hole! Having given me his bouquet, Charlie also had a sweet card.  After gifts and a fantastic steak lunch cooked by Aaron, Charlie decided it was warm enough for a swim! So glad we could be together to celebrate all the love between us!

Mother's Day Love

My sweet family showed me a lot of love for Mother's Day! Charlie's sweet teacher prepared a sweet set of videos and did a zoom call where each child showed off their love for their mom! Charlie showed just how well he knows me and my favorite things! Ready for church with time for pictures of us dressed nice! I wanted to do something with the family and my main request was that I didn't have to plan the activity. First we went to Lovie and Pops' to spend a little time hanging out and giving gifts.  Then, we headed out for our activity - playing putt putt! Aaron and the kids had sweet cards, gifts, and Sarah Graves made me some cool artwork! I love them all so much and felt that love reflected back in their thoughtfulness.

Mother's Day 2020

We started the day off with a fabulous brunch, if I do say so myself,  and the kids were eager to give their gifts! While making our crafts for Lovie, Sissy made me a ring holder out of clay. So sweet! Sissy treated me to a pedicure. Nice to be pampered!  The weather was still chilly, but less wind made the kids think it would be great for riding the raft!  Lovie and her babies! Riding like normal wasn't exciting enough, so they decided to stand up! No one fell out into the chilly water! Playing family is fun, especially when you get to sit in the golf cart and pretend you are going on vacation! Had such a great day with my favorite people! I enjoyed the day and appreciated the thoughtful gifts and cards the kids made.

Mother's Day

I had a lovely Mother's Day. During a time when it felt like we were constantly on the run, it was so nice to have some time to slow down and enjoy time together.  The day was off to an early start when Sarah Graves and Charlie made me a nice breakfast in bed. My girl took the time to research a recipe for keto pancakes and they made bacon with it.  There was so much pride bringing me breakfast.  Then, there was much silliness!  Sarah Graves was so sweet making me this card. She also made me a footprint card and Charlie gave me a sweet set of cards that he made at school. One of the sweetest parts was that both kids said their favorite thing about me was my hugs. So sweet! Sarah Graves also designed this sweet card for me. Picture with my cuties all dressed up before church. Watching Sissy acolyte like a pro!  We spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying lunch at Lovie and Pops'. It was nice to hang out together since...

Mother's Day

We had a lovely, relaxing Mother's Day. Mom made a delicious brunch that included steaks (a favorite for me!), bacon, eggs, grits, biscuits, pancakes, and berries We had a great time hanging out and visiting before the ladies headed off to see a movie! Going to a grown up movie at the theater is such a treat! So blessed to have two precious kiddos to call me mom!  So grateful for all these ladies! They will never know how much I value them in my life.
