The Windy City

Last week I attended a conference and mom graciously came along so that the kids could come too.  Sarah Graves was very excited to go on the airplane and stay in a hotel.  She likes the Eloise books and expectations of living like Eloise!
The weather wasn't great, cold and rainy, so we didn't venture too far from the hotel.  We stayed at the Knickerbocker Hotel, which SG thought was the funniest name!  Our hotel was just off Michigan Avenue so there was lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.
If he isn't an angel!  He fell asleep in the Ergo and was so comfy that I hated to wake him to get him ready for bed.
There was a Lego store and Lovie bought her this prize to add to her princess collection.  She loves to play with Duplos and wants it just like the picture.  Char comes through and rips it apart all the time!  He picked an animal set and wouldn't let it go!
While there, it became obvious that the double stroller we had was terrible.  It was a tandem style and killed your arms trying to steer it.  I came across an upscale baby shop while picking up lunch and saw this one.  A short while later mom and dad offered to split it with us and we were off to have a new stroller!
This is the double version of the city mini we already have.  I was worried about the width, but it fits through all doorways and it has the same one handed steering and easy fold like our other.  Really excited to have this!
Sissy with a Dr. Seuss statue!

I am so grateful to have the kids with me.  The days are long, but those precious times with them are worth it!  It is a ton of work to travel with them and keep them occupied in a hotel, so I am incredibly grateful that mom is up for the challenge!
