Easter

We celebrated Sarah Graves' first Easter by going to service at Trinity where her Aunt Lexie doted on her and held her the whole time!  Then, we went back to Maw Maw Bourgeois' house to have lunch and spend time with family.  Mom made her Easter dress and bonnet and I think she looked just adorable in them!

Sarah Graves with her Easter basket.  Baby Sarry and Old McDonald hand puppets from Momma and Daddy, a new outfit from Maw Maw Yvonne, and a stuffed bunny, a book, and a keepsake bunny from Mom and Pops.  I think she had a pretty good first Easter!
Being able to spend time with family makes me wish that we lived closer so that we could do it more often.  I would love for Sarah Graves to grow up playing with her cousins the way that I did with mine.

It is sad but we did not have blogs, and email, and cell phones and skype! She will know us but I do miss you all so!

Plus, the LSU game in ATL will be here before you know it! We are spending a week in ATL and then heading up to Vandy for the next game. I can get tons of sugar then!! LOL

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
