Smartipants

I'm getting more granola everyday!  We have been using the cloth diapers, which happen to be called smartipants and it is going pretty well.  We haven't had any real issues with leaking even when we used them overnight.  I have also started using washcloths and this baby wipe solution instead of the store baby wipes.  I decided to try it because after using several types of baby wipes they all seemed a little dry to me.  One kind felt more like a dryer sheet than a moist towelette.  So, I looked online and found a recipe for making your own baby wipes or just the solution for them.  You can make your own baby wipes by using paper towels and saturating them with this solution.  I have been mixing up the solution and keeping it in a spray bottle on the changing table to spritz her bottom with and wipe it clean with the wash cloth.  I can spritz as many times as I need to to get the job done! 
The recipe for the solution is simple.  You boil 2 cups of water, add 2 T. of baby wash, 1 T of baby oil and stire it together.  I used lavender scented baby wash and baby oil so it has a nice scent.  She seems happy with it.

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
