Crazy Monday!

We had an eventful afternoon today.  Friday, Lovie noticed a raised place on SG's leg kind of at her groin and told me about it.  When I saw it on Saturday it was visible to the eye and felt like a firm bean.  I was a bit alarmed about it, so I called the pediatrician today and they wanted to see her.  The doctor looked at it and said it is a swollen lymph gland and that she has some slightly swollen ones on the other leg.  She felt as though this is SG's body fighting an infection and is okay as it is.  If it gets red, feverish, or swells to be about twice the size it is now, we need to come back for an antibiotic.  I hate making the trip to the pediatrician for nothing, but I am always relieved to hear it is nothing!

Because Lovie had already brought SG home with me, Aaron stayed really late at work getting caught up and that gave me and SG an evening together.  After dinner, we went into the garage to ride on her Barbie ATV and then she discovered her favorite thing to do, play in the backseat of a car!  She loves to climb around the car and normally I have to stop her because we are trying to go somewhere and she needs to get strapped in.  Tonight we had time just to play and she loved crawling in her seat and back out and being able to open and close the door by herself!  Two is a funny age.   She thought it was hilarious for me to knock on the window and waive to her and she would lean over, knock back, and kiss the window! 
We had a fun time together!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
