Saturday Fun!

Saturday morning, Aunt Nay came with us to music!  Sarah Graves is completely taken with Aunt Nay and asks for her at least once a day and many days it feels non-stop.  Anytime she sees Lucy run to the front door, she runs too shouting, "NAY NAY!"  So, it was a treat for her to come to music with us and then get some breakfast. 


 Who can go to Chick-Fil-A and not want to play!  She loves to climb up in the slide and she is pretty good at it now  For a long time I had to go up with her and maneuver through the climbing aparatus, but she does it on her own now.  It's a good thing too because I'm not sure I will fit in there in the next few months!
This is probably the best full-body shot I am going to get of her in her cute Mardi Gras shirt that Lovie made for her.  It's a little girl wearing a mask up on a float and it is sooo cute!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
