Happy to You, BaBa!

Saturday was my birthday!  We had a busy day, but it was fun.  We had breakfast before music and I requested doughnuts.  We went to music class and one of SG's buddies shares my birthday!  After music we headed to the chiropractor to have SG adjusted.  Our chiropractor is located right by SG's favorite restaurant, so we took advantage and stopped in for lunch.  Without us saying a word about where we were headed, when we pulled in the parking lot, she shouted out, "Popeye's!"  After lunch we headed home to drop SG off with Pops the babysitter extraordinaire and Aaron and I headed to a parenting class.  Mom and Jeanne' met up with us later so that we could go for what has to be some of the best pizza and listen to the music!  I love to watch SG dance in her highchair. 
After pizza, we headed home for cheesecake and presents! 


 Aunt Nay was very wise and anticipated that SG might be upset if she didn't get to open any presents.  Nay found her a few Valentine items that SG could unwrap!  She still "helped" me unwrap mine :)

I requested cheesecake and it was very tasty!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
