Mother's Day

I think this was my best mother's day yet!  SG was in a pretty good mood and we had a fun day despite some rainy weather.  
Sarah Graves made me a card at school and she was very proud.  

 I couldn't have been more delighted to receive it.  

 She gives such sweet kisses!

She was even sweet enough to pose for some pictures with me.  


 And she posed with Daddy.

 They surprised me with an extra special present - a new Mac Book Pro.  Aaron even loaded some software on it like word, powerpoint, and excel so that I was all ready to go.  I had no idea he had something to special in mind, so I was totally surprised!  

After church we met Lovie, Pops, and Nay at Copeland's for brunch.  The weather was cold and rainy and the wait was nearly two hours, but the food was worth it!  We found some seats outside in the covered area and had a nice time visiting while we waited.  SG hit everyone up for a trip to the potty and kept us laughing at her silly ways!  Unfortunately, Nay had to leave for work before we were finally seated.  
We came home for Aaron and SG to get a nap and for me to play with my new computer.  Then, Aaron and I headed off to the first of our childbirth classes for Chubby.  These are group classes, something we didn't do while expecting SG, but our doula Pam teaches them so it is very familiar.  
All in all, it was a great day!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
