Easter Prizes

Sarah Graves is so fortunate to have a family that loves her more than the world.  Her grandparents all sent Easter prizes to her and she loved every one. 
 Grancy and Ger Ger sent her this kitty umbrella and she was so thrilled to go outside and twirl it around.  She also received a neat puzzle where you match colors and textures; they all make pairs.
 Lovie and Pops gave her some things for the beach.  Lovie embroidered a cover-up and she got a swimsuit and Elmo shoes for the beach.  There was also a purse, a Fancy Nancy book, and soft, soft bunny. 
 Grandaddy and MeMe sent her a real treat, a cookie bouquet! 
She has been thrilled to eat these cookies!  The other day she had one and walked into the den with it when Lucy jumped up and snatched it out of her hand!  She was so surprised that Lucy did that.  We are going to have to work with Lucy on that (and it might encourage SG to stay at the table)!

I didn't do a good job of getting pictures of SG with each of her new things, but she appreciates them all.

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
