Tech Fans

Lucy and I got up early and took a walk. She had a fabulous time and we ran into her friend Nate, a yellow lab that lives along our route. Lucy became quite the flirt with Nate and was just beaming. I wish that we had more dogs to have over for play dates because she loves to play with others.


After our walk, I got her dressed in her LA Tech bandanna so that she can cheer them on today. We are heading over to Auburn with Aaron's Dad and Stepmom a little later to watch LA Tech play their first game. We're looking forward to the start of football season and some tailgating! Here is Lucy splayed out after her walk.




Aaron came down dressed for the day, so I caught this picture of the two of them. She rolled over for a belly rub the moment that she saw him. Did we mention that she is a little spoiled?

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Teenager!

Sarah Graves loves baking, watching baking shows, and has lots of ideas about cake decorating. She wanted to decorate her cake herself and made it a team effort with Lovie.  She was very proud of the finished product and learned that piping icing isn't as easy as it looks! For her party, friends went ice skating then came back to our house for food and cake! This guy we referred to as "Cat Man" skated around with his cat and at time with hold the cat under its front legs just above the ice and let it sway as he skated! The cat did not seem to mind...it sure did catch our attention! Pierced ears mean fun earrings! Aunt Lexie definitely picked fun ones with these rubber chickens! So many people love this sweet girl and showed up to celebrate her!
