Saturday Night

The rest of our Saturday was spent pretty relaxed.

Lucy got some love.

Aaron and Charlie enjoyed some time playing video games. Charlie had lost his holder with all his video games for a while, so this was exciting to play again!

We made a good dinner. I ordered a brisket, but instead got a chuck roast. Not quite the barbecued beef I had in mind, but it worked. We tried a new recipe for garlic butter rice that claimed to taste just like garlic toast, but Sarah Graves did not think that was accurate! The veggie was sautéed zucchini that Aaron does really well! We paid tribute to Kenny Rogers' passing by listening to his greatest hits while we cooked.

Disappointed that they weren't doing camp outs for scouts as planned, the kids asked to set up the tent in the basement. We have a new tent that is quite large and I was surprised it could fit with all their toys, but they made space! They had the joy of sleeping near Lucy - she was in her crate - and got to hear her snores and whines during the night. There was also talk of Charlie losing his blankets and turning on lights during the night to find them and all sorts of other silliness!
