Girls on the Run

When you say Girls on the Run, all I hear in my head is the tune of Band on the Run!  Then, I start singing and SG rolls her eyes! Nonetheless, this program was awesome for her! It is organized locally, teachers at the school lead it, and they use a curriculum to teach the girls not only about running, but about character as well. They met after school twice a week and it was really great!

Their season ended with a 5K that the girls ran and raised money for Girls on the Run scholarships.
Charlie and Aaron came out to cheer! The Atlanta Dream basketball players were there passing out packs of thunder sticks and that was right up Charlie's alley! He was banging away. He was also really excited to wear this new jacket. We picked it up at Target the night before and he was overjoyed to have a Mario themed jacket and the hood was soft!

She was so happy to see her friends there! She really is very social and draws so much energy from being with her friends.

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
