Garden Fun!

Grancy and Gramma made a trip to the beach and made a detour on their way back to spend a day with the kiddos.  They came in Saturday night and we picked up barbecue to eat dinner with Lovie and Pops.  SG really enjoyed having her Lovie and her Grancy together with her!

Sunday morning we headed out for breakfast at SG's favorite spot, First Watch!

Gramma and Charlie had fun together.  She taught him to say, "Gramma Gramma!" when she asked, "What does the fox say?"  It really was too cute and I'm sorry I didn't catch it on video.

SG kept Grancy busy down at her end of the table.  She and Grancy had an inside joke going about some character Bob Borg that they made up.  Sarah Graves goes into a fit of laughter just saying that name!

Grancy was SG's riding buddy in the car and they had fun cutting up in the back together.

The day was gorgeous so we headed to the Botanical Gardens.  The good weather brought out a big crowd, but we had a good time.  Charlie fell asleep on the way and took a long nap in the stroller missing most of the gardens - he has a lot of years to enjoy the gardens and he was quite peaceful sleeping.

There is a scarecrow contest and the display of elaborate scarecrows throughout the gardens was really neat to see.

SG was tickled to wear a darling new dress that Mawsy made for her.  It is pale blue corduroy with little snowflakes and tiny sequins sewn on it to give it a Frozen touch.  So sweet of her to make that.
Charlie was wearing his navy peacoat and enjoying his sunglasses giving him the look of a secret service man or something!

They were using the gourds as maracas!

The gardens had a fall festival for kids set up with some crafts and other fun things.

Home Depot offered a kids workshop building bug houses.

The gardens wore everyone out, so these two caught a snooze on the way home.

Charlie enjoyed having new people to read to him.  Aaron and I enjoyed a trip to Costco alone (that's how we know we are married with kids - Costco alone counts as excitement!) while Grancy and Gramma kept the kiddos!

We wish they could stay longer, but we had a lot of fun while they were here!
