Epcot Day 3

Our day in Epcot started with a princess breakfast at Akershus in Norway.  This breakfast was wonderful!  The kids paraded around with the princesses before breakfast.  The food was delicious and we had a great time seeing the princesses.  Charlie got into it this time and really enjoyed some special attention from them.  









He was so tickled seeing Snow White and getting a kiss from her!


After doing Turtle Talk With Crush and Nemo we were ready for a shark bite!  



These splash pads in the various parks were a hit with Charlie!  Drenched from head to toe and loving every second!










We met Princess Mulan in China.  

They had a ton of fun playing with Lovie and Pops while we waited to ride Maelstrom.  Hard to believe it is closing soon, but exciting to think about a Frozen themed ride.





The first time I remember being in Epcot I was about 6 and we went to ride the Mexico ride and ate in the restaurant there.  Since then, it has been a tradition to eat there on each visit and we held with that tradition this trip.  

 Charlie was so excited to see Donald on the ride and then we came out and there he was!  


We stayed that evening for an amazing fireworks show.  The kids were really into and totally in awe of the fire and different effects they did.  

Sarah Graves was over the moon that Lovie and Pops bought her a souvenir, new Anna and Elsa dolls!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
