Happy Easter!

We worked in a trip to the Easter Bunny amidst all of our illness.  SG was a trooper and smiled big even though she was sick with a fever, unbeknownst to me.

When I asked SG where we should leave the Easter baskets, she thought for a minute then said, "by the door because the Easter Bunny will hop in."  That sounded like as good a place as any, so their baskets were by the back door to allow the Easter Bunny to just hop right to them.

Charlie had some sunglasses in his basket!

Our church had an egg hunt for the kids before mass.  They held it inside since the weather was dreary and it was wet outside.  It was a little hectic, but well thought out and SG was pleased as could be when she got prizes for finding all 12 eggs.

Charlie was happy to see his Lovie!

He loves to hop around with his toys!

I really wanted a family picture and this one isn't as perfect as I might have dreamt, bt we are all here in one piece looking relatively happy.

Two of the sweetest faces!

Grancy sent prizes for Easter and SG was absolutely thrilled with this set of activities to prepare for preschool!
SG loved going through her basket from Lovie and Pops and Maw Maw.  These sunglasses were a hit!

Lovie and these sweet kiddos.

Aunt Nay with them.  Getting them both to look at the same time is near impossible!  By the time we sat them down with Maw Maw, neither of them were willing to take pictures.  Kids just don't get sentimental things like family pictures.

I could look at them all day.  My two precious babies.

We made a big lunch.  Aaron and I made a ham, roasted leg of lamb, cpus cpus, rolls, lemon tarts, carrot cake, and jell-o jigglers.  Mom made my very favorite spinach salad with strawberries and poppy seed dressing and squash and zucchini.  The food took a little longer than expected, but it turned out delicious.
After lunch the kids were up and ready to get outside.  The sun was out and perfect for hiding eggs.

It turned out to be a really nice Easter.  So much to be grateful for and I am glad that we could share the special day with family.
