Happy Birthday, Lucy!

Today is Lucy's 6th birthday!  
Lucy keeps us all alerted to any squirrels, leaves, or people passing by!  She is curious about the tiny humans that inhabit our home and enjoys kissing them when possible!  SG is not fond of these kisses and Charlie doesn't seem to notice them.  SG would prefer to pet Lucy with her foot and have no other contact than that!  She likes to give Lucy treats, but doesn't want Lucy to touch her!  Charlie is just now starting to notice Lucy and so far seems in different to her.  
Aside from bothering our neighbor with her barking during the day, Lucy really doesn't bother anyone and the older she gets, the more she prefers to keep to herself.  She used to enjoy cuddling up next to me while I watched TV, but she doesn't come anywhere near the sofa while I am watching TV these days.  She prefers to lay on her bed and snooze or patrol her yard.  
Lucy does very much enjoy her weekly trip to doggie daycare to play with her friends.  There is even another Frenchie that comes pretty regularly!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
