Charlie's Baptism Reception

Maw Maw Bourgeois was very generous and helped us have a reception after the baptism at her house.  My cousin Eric's wife, Jennifer, was so helpful and came to Maw Maw's to get the food set up before we came back from the church.  Maw Maw made gumbo and potato salad, I made sensation salad, and we purchased boudin balls and cake.  The food was quite good and it was so nice to spend the afternoon celebrating the joyous event with much of our family.  

My aunt and uncle have a bounce house and brought it over for the little ones to enjoy.  SG was thrilled!

Lovie and Pops did so much to help us.  Pops picked up the things we needed from Sam's on Saturday and he helped set up Sunday morning.  

I think he has Lovie and Pops quite smitten and who wouldn't be for that smile!

As always, I didn't get pictures of everyone there, but luckily we had more time to visit with everyone throughout the week.

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
