Sick

Sarah Graves wasn't just having a hard time sleeping Thursday night, she was coming down with a cold.  She has a bad cough, chest congestion, and an icky runny nose.  She hasn't been running any fever, so we haven't been to the pediatrician. 
Right now, we are treating the symptoms with saline nose spray, ibuprofen to help her sleep, and the nose suction device that she can only handle for a second.  Boogie wipes are the best things ever!  My mom bought them the first time she had a cold and I thought she was being a bit over the top, but these work so well and keep her from having a raw, irritated nose.  She actually sticks her neck out so you can wipe her nose.  We've tried teaching her to blow, but she isn't interested in doing it. 
We have some good news that my grandmother came home from the hospital on Friday and has home healthcare and my mom looking after her.  They are treating her with blood thinners in hopes that the blood clot will get better.  Her leg is still hurting, but we hope it gets better as the blood thinners build up in her system. 
The plan for tomorrow is for Aunt Nay to come in the morning and stay with SG until noon when I will come home to be with her.  Then, Tuesday morning a very generous friend, Natalie, Mie's mom, will come and watch her until Aaron comes home at lunch.  That way we both only miss a half day of work and hopefully we aren't too far behind.

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
