Me Day

Without meaning to, Saturday felt like a day for me.  Sarah Graves, Aaron, and I went to breakfast, then we headed to the mall.  Aaron and Sarah Graves hung out while I did some shopping.  Sarah Graves played in the indoor play area in the mall and she and daddy tried out some accessories while they waited.
There were some great sales going on and I was excited to take advantage of them.  I have been struggling with feeling like I don't have much of a style anymore.  Don't get me wrong I have never been a trendsetter, but lately I have felt like I have odds and ends and nothing that really looks outstanding.  I see pieces of clothing when I go in stores and I like them, but I don't know how to put them all together.  Saturday I went to the GAP for a great sale (50% off all women's apparel) and stumbled upon a sales person who was fabulous.  I could show her a piece that I liked and she helped me put it together to make an outfit.  She even made recommendations on sizes!  I wish every store had someone who was wiling to help me like that and prices that I am willing to pay.
After our shopping, daddy and Sarah Graves were starved so we grabbed lunch at Cheesecake Factory before I headed over to my appointment for a haircut.  I didn't walk into the haircut planning to take a lot of length off, but she took several inches off and I love it.  It feels lighter and it have a much better shape.  I have even tried fixing it myself and it looks pretty good. 
What a great day I had!  I think Aaron and SG enjoyed themselves, too!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
