Lazy Sunday

Sunday we went to church and out for breakfast. SG did not fuss at all when I left her in the nursery. Maybe it is because they offer her goldfish snacks? We don't have those around the house, so that's pretty exciting.
We spent a good portion of the day getting things done around the house like laundry and baby food making. We also took some time to play with a sweet baby. Our air conditioner on the main floor wasn't working, so I let her stay cool and play in just her diaper.






First she brought me Angel, one of my dolls when I was little, then she brought me a book. I took the hint that she wanted me to read to her baby. At least she understands the importance of starting young, ha!



Her paci is only for sleeping, but lately she pops it in any time she can get one. She wasn't too happy with me when I made her put it back in her bed. I have flashes of how she will feel when I tell her she can't go out on a school night!



She loves these lift-the-flap books!



She just doesn't enjoy strawberries whole. Actually, she prefers most fruits purred rather than whole.


Feeling much happier with a cracker.




It felt too warm to cook, so Aaron and I enjoyed crackers and cheese with a cool white wine for dinner.

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
