Labor Day

Labor Day weekend we spent time with Lovie's family - Uncle Steve, cousin Nick, cousin Kayla, and her girls, Raylee, Charlee (yep, 2 Charlie names got confusing) and Haislee.
Charlie and Raylee were so cute together and had such a good time! She is just a few months older than him and they get on great!

Maw Maw was so happy to have the babies around!



Charlee was very happy to be back with Maw Maw!



Sis enjoyed playing on the slack line and helping the little girls.



A bucket of water balloons and Charlie, Raylee, and Olivia had the best time! They ran and played laughing and having a blast together!












When the balloons ran out, they went for the water guns! I hope that will be a memory of a wonderful time together with cousins!

Their favorite was going out on the boat on the rafts! Even the little girls loved to get on and ride!

We also celebrated Maw Maw's birthday! 

Wishes for a wonderful year ahead!



Food was the theme of the gifts this year! Gift cards to restaurants and favorite snacks and treats!

It was pouring rain, but no lightning, so we had a great time swimming in the rain!

We were excited and geared up for a great football game...we'll get 'em next time!

We soaked up some more lake time before heading home and getting back to work and school.







So glad the kids get to have these memories of time with family at the lake! Such sweet memories they will have and thankful for the chance for them to know their extended family!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
