Back to School!

Eager to meet the teachers and see their classrooms! It has been two years since parents could enter the school and it is so nice to see teachers and parents in person!

After 7 years in the lower school building, this guy is excited to move up to The Hive, the special building just for 4th graders!

This girl was excited to get a top locker and a have a chance to get it all set up!

Charlie was up and ready! He picked his orange converse and this year chose talk socks!

Feeling excited! A big change in 4th grade is having different teachers for each subject! He has Ms. Sims for homeroom and he also has Ms. Freeman (yep, the same sweet lady who taught him kindergarten and taught Sarah Graves fourth grade!) and Ms. Gould (the same fantastic teacher who taught Sarah Graves first grade!).

Sarah Graves was excited to go, but was flustered by putting in her contacts and making her lunch! Finally, she was ready to head out for seventh grade! She has Ms. Green for homeroom and english, and all new teachers for math, science, social studies, and spanish!

When we pulled up to the upper school, Sarah Graves hopped out and waved goodbye before Charlie or I knew what happened! I guess we are just lucky she doesn't make me drop her off a block before we get to the school!

With the staggered drop off times, Charlie and I had a minute to enjoy his new and very short carpool line!

I grabbed this pic as my big guy headed into his new building! I think he was excited to be in a new space and have something all new as he started this year!

I didn't get any pictures, but when they came home from school, Lovie and Maw Maw stopped by and we sat around chatting and listening to their stories.
Sarah Graves was all smiles with excitement for her teachers and the friends in her class.
Charlie was near tears as he discovered his closest friends are in other classes and he is not excited about his homeroom teacher. The next day he would discover the beauty of changing teachers and getting to work with different personalities throughout the day!
