Pool Fun!

We started our day off with a yummy breakfast at Asiago's Skillet. Funny how quick the kids can get ready when they are motivated by breakfast!

Aaron caught this glimpse of a double rainbow.

 After breakfast, it was off to the pool! We had so much fun! It was our last day to enjoy the beach and pool and the kids definitely made the most of it.




















Not sure what it was about the blue ring, but it was the most desired and most fought over diving ring!

 After our rest time, it was back out to the beach for kite flying.


We also made one mermaids! Neither of them was really patient to be buried and mold the tail, but they did pretty good.


Sissy was more into lounging!
The water had high levels of bacteria making it risky for kids who have constant scrapes and cuts to get in. It was really hard to decide to not get in the ocean, but it felt like the right thing to do for all of our safety.

We played a rousing game of Ticket to Ride and Charlie was so tickled when he got a golden ticket! He had to tuck it into his pocket! He is pretty good at the game too!

So many good days having fun and enjoying time together!

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
