Beach Day 2

We spent our second day at the beach enjoying the pool and sand with Brennan and Fisher! The kids were really excited to spend time with their cousins!
Fun in the water! The water had a lot of seaweed in it, but that didn't stop them from enjoying it.

Sissy wanted to get her hair wet and this bathing beauty struck quite a pose!

Charlie might have been the hardest working kid on the beach! He had so much fun playing with Fisher!

Charlie and Fisher were playing in the sand when they saw the ice cream man coming along the shore with his ice cream cart. They stopped working and suddenly they took off after the ice cream cart! They didn't have any money, but thank goodness BB was there and she did! They were so happy to eat that ice cream!

Time for some fun in the sand!

Fisher and Charlie worked steadily to build their sand pit and fill it with water!



It worked out so great to have family also enjoying the beach the same time we were there. I'm glad we had the chance to meet up for dinner together!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
