Santa Portraits

We went back to Bullock Hall for our meeting with Santa. To make sure that we didn't create suspicion about Santa, we made sure to keep the exposure low and visit just once with Santa. We decided this was a lovely way to talk with Santa and have nice pictures done. Charlie got a little nervous and Sissy did fine. Olivia was definitely not a fan of the guy!

This one of Livy with her paci looking at Santa is by far the closest she got to him without getting upset! Poor baby just couldn't take that guy!

My man was nervous, but he hung in there and made sure to tell Santa about some of the things he wanted.

These playful shots made it easier for them to be themselves.

This precious girl was eager to talk to Santa and does such a nice job of being a big girl and trying to be so sweet in these situations.

I love these pictures and know we will put them out at Christmases to come and enjoy how beautiful they are.

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
