Charlie's Family Birthday

The day of Charlie's birthday we got to celebrate with a little family party. I made him a cake with Spider-Man and Batman on it and per his request we had Popeye's for dinner since cajun rice is his favorite food!
He was so proud that he nailed it and blew out all of his candles!

Charlie had lots of nice presents from all of his sweet family!
A special birthday balloon delighted him!

He has watched videos about these rock'm sock'm superpose with Lovie and they were a huge hit!


Gramma sent him these blind boxes and he was thrilled! Sissy was so excited about them too that she could hardly stand to let him open them all himself!

He had some fun Spider-Man books from Grandaddy and Mi Mi.

Sissy was very pleased to give him her gift! These stuffed Batman, Flash, and Superman toys. 

He was all smiles over his set of Green Lantern figures from Grancy and Ger Ger. 

This Batboat from Maw Maw drew a huge squeal f delight! He has been wanting it for months and was so thrilled to get it!

I think my guy felt very special on his birth day! He was very excited for his day and had lots of fun and LOVES his new toys!

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
