Saturday Night

I have been off work for several days and it has been so lovely.  We have really just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves.  Saturday was a great day spent shopping and then watching the game at my parents'.   It was the kind of evening where we were all in a good place and seemed to just enjoy one another's company.  Mom, Jeanne', Maw Maw and I sat in the play room with the kids while Dad and Aaron watched the game.  We checked in on it, but we were mostly on baby duty.
The kids had a ball just playing and being themselves.  We all delighted in SG's dance party with my iPad and Charlie happily toddled around holding someone's phone!  Everyone was relaxed and it just felt easy.  Knowing that I had several days off ahead made me feel relaxed and I wasn't stressed about how late the kids were staying up or all that needed to be done at home.  Such a wonderful feeling!
These aren't great pictures as they were mostly taken on my phone and I cannot master a steady hand with it, but I wanted a few pictures to capture the evening.

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
