Beach Trip!

We spent last week at the beach and just loved it!  We got down here Saturday afternoon and quickly had to hit the pool.  Sunday morning came early for us and Sarah Graves hopped into her swimsuit before helping Pops make pancakes for everyone!


Charlie doesn't like to keep his hat on so Daddy borrowed it!

He enjoyed the little pool we set up on the beach!


I can't believe how big my little man is getting!

Sissy was tired and thought she might take a rest with Lovie.

He loves this suitcase that Grandaddy and MeMe gave him for his birthday!

I started with what I think might have been a migraine while we were out on the beach and had to lay down for a couple of hours.  Aunt Nay and Daddy kept an eye on the wild people and had a good time.  In fact, when I got up, I heard Sissy asking Nay if she could be her Mommy!  You have to work hard to keep your place in her heart!

Feeling a little better, we took an evening walk on the beach and saw the sunset.  

It was a great first day!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
