Starting School!

Thursday was Sarah Graves' first day to go to school. We went to meet her teachers, see her classroom, and find out how the 18-24 month old, Tuesday/Thursday Mother's Day Out class will work. It is going to work great and be tons of fun!
My sweet baby marched in and was ready to play and learn. She was intrigued by the play kitchen and the playhouse in the room. She spotted the playground outside her room and wanted to go out the door.
The day will last from 9:30 to 1. She will do a craft, have music "class", story time, snack time, lunch, and recess. Man, I wish I went to MDO! I know she will learn a lot and develop some good skills for listening and following directions as well as independence.
She has 2 teachers who have taught together for 8 years. There will be 8 kids in her class and we only met little boys on Thursday. Maybe some girls will be there, too. She's too little to care if she is the only girl.
A couple of kids were crying and clinging to their mommas, but not SG. She was ready to turn loose and get started! It's going to be a fun year! I am so grateful to my mom for watching Sarah Graves and making it so that she can ease into school and truly have what for us is the best of both worlds.
Here are pictures of our little school girl!
