Moms at School

It is so sweet the things school does to make moms feels special! Charlie's class did a breakfast for us.


I wish I had a video of this precious boy giving me the gift he made! 


He painted a jar and they put a battery operated candle in it. It is a sweet gift but the best part was his pride and enthusiasm!


Sissy made me this precious placemat that included a description of my favorite things and on the. back she wrote what she loves about me. 
Her class made a hilarious video of the kids being interviewed about how they know they are in trouble, the funniest thing your mom does, and what makes your mom smile. The answers were hilarious! I was worried what SG might say. She said she knows I'm really mad when I say I can't deal with her anymore and have to get her dad! Ha! That is what I do when I'm about to lose it. The funniest thing I did was in a bubble bath I was looking for the bar of soap and mistook my toe for the soap! Saying I love you is what makes me smile.
Both of them know my favorite color is purple and favorite food is steak! Neither of them know my age but at least SG thought lower!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
