Special Visit

My dear friend, Alexis, came to visit this weekend.  Sarah Graves was so excited to see her godmother.  She told everyone at school on Friday that her godmother was coming!
We packed in a lot of fun to a couple of days.  I think Sarah Graves' favorite part was playing with the play-doh set that Aunt Lex brought her!  She loves it and also enjoyed playing a new game with Aunt Lexie.  We also had a good time seeing the Coca-Cola museum.

Saturday, we checked out the World of Coca-Cola museum.  It had been a few years since we were there last and it was fun to see what had changed and see some of the best parts were still there.  

Charlie enjoyed his experience by watching Caillou on his iPad!  


Sarah Graves and Aunt Lexie enjoyed the tasting room best.

The 3-D glasses for the movie were exciting, but the actual movie and movement in the chair was a little too scary for SG.  

Aunt Lex patiently explained different parts of the production process to a very curious little girl.  She loves to learn how things are made, so this was perfect for her.  

Of course, we had to have more time for the play-doh!  She can't get enough of the stuff!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
