Christmas Eve!

After weeks of anticipation, it was finally Christmas Eve! Ours was a day packed with church and preparations.

The elves made sure we knew their plans after Christmas! Looks like a cruise is the next plan.

We started with a prayer brunch to celebrate the 4th Sunday in Advent.

This was a lovely time seeing friends at church, enjoying breakfast, singing, and praying for peace, particularly for those in Palestine and Israel.

We came home and pulled together to get final preparations for Christmas Eve dinner finished. Sissy and Charlie are really capable and had good attitudes about helping! Having a checklist for everyone to see what needs doing really helped us all pull together and get it done!
Looking so festive for the next church service.

Charlie sang with Tomorrow's Promise at the three o'clock family service.

We were there early to save seats.

Cousins.

After church, we came back to our house for dinner.

Maw Maw wasn't feeling up to dinner and we missed her. We enjoyed a festive salad that Jeanne' made, an Italian roast beef served over polenta, and Sissy focaccia bread.

What a festive night!

Love, Pops, and the grands!

After dinner, we opened the dollar store gifts from the kids.
Livy was so proud of my pink bucket to use in my office!

They put so much thought into their gifts and have so much pride in giving them. Such a sweet tradition!

Then, it was time to head to the seven thirty service where God's Light was singing.

Charlie was stoked to sit next to hist baseball teammate and church friend, Joey!

Unfortunately, Sissy was covered up by a fellow singer and I couldn't get a shot of her singing. They sounded great, though. The choirs and orchestra quintet sounded amazing! The sermon reminded us to live out the joy and peace of Christmas throughout the year. C'mon ya'll, it's Christmas!

We left out Santa's favorite snickerdoodles and milk plus a bonus sugar cookie! Then, it was off to bed!
