Trip to Galaxy's Edge

We were super excited to go to Hollywood Studios and experience all the new things since our last visit!
Proved our amusement park warrior skills at rope drop and made it to Rise for a short 20 minute wait.  The theming of the ride was so cool and the cast members stayed completely in character making the experience a little scary and very cool.
Then, we hopped in line for Smuggler’s Run and were excited to pilot the Millennium Falcon and help out the resistance! SG and Charlie were pilots and Aaron and I were gunners on Smuggler’s Run. It was a fun ride and felt like we were really flying the plane!

Tinkerbell came through for the kids and brought them trivia books that made standing in line a little more entertaining!

We couldn't help smiling when we saw Betty White's handprints.

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway was fun! The surprises of new rides are a lot of fun and Hollywood Studios had several new things for us to try!

Charlie built a lightsaber for his souvenir. The cast member was so patient and made this a great experience for him!

Yep, designing your own is pretty fun!

I was a huge Miss Piggy fan as a kid and still love seeing this show!

He was very pleased with his new lightsaber and we had to do a little photoshoot with it!

Lunch at Mama Melrose was tasty and renewed our spirits for the rest of the day!

Spaghetti and meatball cupcakes for dessert - yes please!

So much cool stuff around Galaxy's Edge!

I love this guy and his eye for cute photos!

The kids made their first visit to a bar - Oga's Cantina for some out of this world fun!

Sis had to try the blue milk!

Cheers!

Aaron went with the Jedi Mind Trainer

Charlie's drink had "frog eggs" (apple flavored gummy candy)

Such a fun visit! The staff were in character, sang with the music, and made it fun.

Rock'n Roller Coaster (Charlie prefers to call it RRC) was a hit! The kids were finally ready to ride it and they loved it, especially Charlie!

We are all smiles and wonder in this photo, but notice the dark clouds in the background.

Mickey ice cream!

A light drizzle was starting to fall, but we were going strong!

A long line for Slinky Dog, but we were excited to try this one! We knew it was raining and continued to wait a long time hoping we could run without the ride being shut down. We were excited when we made it to the front and got on. As soon as we took off, we knew this was not good. We were being pelted HARD by rain. We were drenched immediately and there was nothing we could do as we twisted and turned. The rain was coming down so hard it hurt too much to open our eyes so the ride felt like endless misery!

We were so ready to get off and being drenched already, we decided to make our way out of the park. The rain was falling so hard that the park was flooding. The water was mid-calf as we slogged out and just tried our best to get to the car.

We were so wet! It continued to poor even when we got back to our hotel, so we waited a big for it to slack off. Turns out, that may not have been wise as we were so wet sitting in the car and all that moisture was soaked into the seats and carpet!

What a memory! We will never forget that experience and continue to talk about that horrible ride on Slinky Dog!
