Last Day

On our last day the kids chose to spend more time playing MagiQuest! It really was cute watching them run after the next clue! 
Sarah Graves was very pleased when she could finally complete the Ursa Major Rune and she did it herself! We had tried the night before and just couldn't get the coordination right to shake the wand the right way to give Ursa Major the jewels collected. A new day and fresh eyes and she could do it. 
Charlie was very frustrated he couldn't do it himself. We finally stopped by the wand shop and had them fix it in the system that Charlie had completed it so that we could move on!

MagiQuest was by far their favorite part of the trip! Sarah Graves will tell you it was epic.

We also had a stop on our Paw Pass at the arcade where the kids each played a few video games.

We all had a fun time and look forward to the Georgia Great Wolf Lodge opening!


We were right by Charlotte Motor Speedway and Hendrick Motor Sports headquarters, so we stopped by the Hendrick museum.


Lots of memorabilia and some cars from drivers like Jeff Gordon, Dale Jr., and Jimmie Johnson. The kids couldn't believe Jeff Gordon drove a rainbow car! 

Having been NASCAR fans, it was neat to see the memorabilia and tell the kids about NASCAR.

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
