Last Days of Summer

Our last days at the beach were spent swimming and relaxing.  Jeanne' was sick some, but she did her best to not let it get her down.  
Lovie spent time enjoying Charlie.  

Aunt Nay put forth so much effort playing with Sarah Graves and keeping her well entertained.  One of the funniest things was listening to Robot Nay and Robot Sarah talk to each other!  This kid has an imagination and I'm not sure where she gets her inspiration!

With two of them it is hard to balance my time, but having so much help made it possible for me to spend some time one on one with Sarah Graves.

Aaron soaked up his time to snuggle with baby Char Char.

Pops kept this silly sister very entertained whether they were pretending to go to Target and Chick-il-A or making her kick board into a surfboard!  



We definitely could not have managed such a fun time if we hadn't had Lovie, Pops, and Aunt Nay there to lend a hand.  I'm not sure if we would have made it out to the beach with the two kids if we hadn't had all the help!  Lots of fun memories together!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
