Letter Month Twenty-Two

Dear Sarah Graves,
My you are growing up so fast!  I can't believe that your second birthday is just around the corner and you are reminding me all the time of how much you are not a baby anymore.
You are talking so much more every day.  You label things as yours, DaDa's, and mine all the time.  You are getting better and better at learning names for different people in your life and you will point to each person and say their name.  You refer to yourself as Sarah and never use pronouns.  I guess we refer to you as Sarah Graves, so it just makes sense to call yourself by your name.
You have learned about two and definitely get that two is more than one.  On several occasions I have told you that you can have one of something and you look at me so sincerely and say, "no, two."  Who wouldn't give you two cookies when you put it like that?
Speaking of cookies, you are still a very picky eater.  This is made more difficult by the fact that the pickiness seems to change on a daily basis.  Right now some regular pleasers are eggs (eeeeggs to you), pancakes (cancakes to you), buddy fruit, and butter chicken.  Who would have guessed that you love Indian food, but you seem to like it.
You now call Lucy by her name and not woof woof.  It is so cute to hear you call her!  I now realize how much you pick up on everything because when Lucy barks, you will say, "Lucy No!" just like me.  You have also learned to call Lucy when you drop a piece of food on the floor.  She comes for you too, so I know she thinks you are pretty special, too.
You thoroughly enjoy music and regularly sing bits of songs.  I am so glad that we did Music Together and will do it again starting in January.  You picked up on rhythm and must think about the songs all the time since you start humming them.  You fit in just swell with the Bourgeois side!
We are starting to anticipate the holidays with you and just can't wait for all the fun!  Experiencing life with you is the most wonderful thing.
Love,
 Momma
